Career Objective
To pursue a professional sports coaching or management position that will utilize my skills, work ethic, and knowledge of the sport of hockey.
Coaching Philosophy
I have five basic beliefs that make up my coaching philosophy for team success;
1) Winning Attitude - Whether it's on the ice, in the locker room or in the office a Winning Attitude is paramount if an organization is going to be successful. It's imperative to have players and staff who are willing to sacrifice to become a winner day in and day out.
2) The 5 P's - 'Proper Preparation Produces Perfect Performance'. To me, this makes practice one of the most important elements in each week. Execution in practice will produce positive results in games.
3) Positive People - There are numerous little setbacks during the course of the season; positive people tend to look for solutions to those setbacks. Negative people tend to look for excuses and to point blame at others.
4) NO team will outwork our club - from the coaches, to the training staff, to the players. We will NEVER be outworked in our preparation, or during any game.
5) Team Chemistry - is a key criteria for team success. This takes time to mold, but when it peaks, it is usually noted as one of the main factors in team success.
I'm a firm believer in the theory that a team becomes a reflection of its coach after a period of time. Like an unclaimed quote states, "Every job is a self portrait; autograph your work with excellence." By leading my 20 players by example, their hard work towards excellence will multiply into outstanding team performance when they function as one.
